SMRT trains, LRT, and selected bus services will be extended beyond the usual hours on Dec 24.

Travel Advisory

Commuters should refer to SMRT's website at www.smrt.com.sg for further information on timings, delays or disruptions or alternatively, tune in to local news stations for updates if available. Should disruptions occur due to unforeseen circumstances, commuters are advised to remain calm and:

a)Avoid moving to or crowding around in the vicinity of the affected station(s);

b)Walk to the nearest available station(s) or intended destination if feasible;

c)Proceed to the nearest bus stop, taxi stand or identified bus bridging point; and

d)Closely follow the instructions of Police officers and SMRT staff to facilitate better human and vehicular traffic flow.

Train services on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

The train service on the North-South, East-West and Circle Lines will be extended. Passengers should refer to the notice boards at the respective stations beforehand for information on the last connecting trains.

Train Services to Expo and Changi Airport Stations

Train services to Expo and Changi Airport stations will not be extended on Christmas Eve. The last train timings departing from the following stations are as follows:

From Tanah Merah Station to Changi Airport Station: 11.50pm.

From Changi Airport Station to Tanah Merah Station: 12.06am.

From Expo Station to Tanah Merah Station: 12.11am.

Bukit Panjang LRT Services

The last Bukit Panjang LRT train service will be extended to match the last SMRT train service at Choa Chu Kang MRT Station on Christmas Eve. The last Bukit Panjang LRT train will depart Choa Chu Kang LRT Station at 2.18am. Notices will be posted on the station's notice boards to inform passengers about the extended operating hours.

Feeder Bus Services

The operating hours of certain feeder buses will match the last MRT train timing on Christmas Eve. Notices will be posted at the following five interchanges: Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang, Sembawang, Woodlands and Yishun to inform passengers about the extended operating hours.

NightRider Services

NightRider services (NR1, NR2, NR3, NR5, NR6, NR7 and NR8) will operate from Dec 24 to Dec 25. Notices will be posted at most bus stops offering NightRider Services to inform passengers about the non-operational days of SMRT's NightRider services.
