ST Classified Fashion and IT showcase 2012

Last weekend the ST Classified organise a 3 in 1 events which is the Fashion and IT showcase and job search. It was held at Suntec city convention hall.

I get a invite to attend the Fashion and IT showcase at hall 402. I went on Sunday as you allowed to choose which day you wish to go.

For bloggers invite we get VIP tickets and also extra goodie bags which has discount coupons and tokens from sponsors and organiser


There a lot of blogshop turn into a full business there! Some like modparade, earl grey and many more!

There 2 fashion show which were held. The first is actually a contest "I'm a fashionista". It was the finale of the contest. The contest is unique as it showcase normal people on the street dress up to be a fashionista. The winner walk away with $2000.

There lots of shops for you to shop and get clothes that are usually hard to find unless online! A few items caught my eye! I particular like modparade clothes!!! So in love with the jumper!!

When we just arrive the organiser bring us around to see all the booth that are there and also explain to us on the booth and what ST classified is all about! Uf you never read newspaper before ( are you leaving under a rock) it the part where ads are place. There the part of Strait times newspaper which you go browse for jobs, offers, flats sales etc... There also lucky draw which the winner win a Kate spade bag on Sat and Marc by Marc Jacobs on Sun.

I wish I won but too bad!! After the first show we went for a walk around the exhibition area.

When we just arrived we were shown around various designer. There one designer which we spend quite a long time which is the rezilienze. A jewellery which is also one of a kind! Only one design per person who order! You will never get caught wearing the same as others!!!

Before the fashion show there a few show to keep the crowd growing! Like the make up show by ZA and also the "I'm a fashionista result show .





The fashion start at 5 30pm. It showcase 6 up and coming local brands. There HER VELVET VASE, maryjulian, modparade, riot loco, rezilienze and armoire

I so in love with modparade new collection!!!

As I have to rush I didn't manage to find clothes I like. It okie still got chance buy online or at their physical shops!

Do support local brands! Some design are actually nicer then branded stuff!!

Next time you saw a blogshop do browse through you may just saw a design made by the owner themself!!!

Shine Youth Festival closing

Remember i blog about the opening about 3 weeks ago! The event which has a parade, a concert and also others events all around Singapore.

Today is the closing after a month full of activities by the youth for the youth. Organise by our National Youth Council. It a annual event that engage our youth to do meaningful and things that inspired them to be someone better.

There volunteerism spirit in shines events every time. Inspire each other to achieve each other dream.

Today events is the closing ceremony which recognise all those who make the event possible! To thank the sponsors, organisation and all involve( include myself no shame right hehe)

The event started with a buffet for all enjoy while waiting for all guest to arrived around 7 45pm







It also a chance to mingle and get to know other youth who has inspire others. How they manage to volunteer even though all are busy with school, work and even those in NS. For me I work till no time but I manage to find time to go to the events and volunteer( was a volunteer and helper past shine event)

Before the actual events start, the host of the day, who else none other then Daniel ong hype up the audience so that everyone will not be just feel that it a boring event!




Then came the certificate presentation to those who has be chosen to take pictures and video using panasonic cameras! Sponsor by panasonic, they also a sponsor for shine events




Suprising all are girls who received the award! Guys, girls show they too can take good pics too!

Next is the main items which to showcase the awards winner! Before that we welcome all the VIP guest and the Chairman of National youth council!



Pics are kinda dark due to the venue is a concert venue.

The opening act is Jus B. A acapella band. They say we are young acapella style.







After their performance we have some talk show ala on tv like that!
Where Daniel Ong invite those who has volunteer for shine, awards winner and those who has pledge for shine!












After that! The 3 winners of this year shine awards are been present with their award!










The chairman of NYC gave his speech! He got to rush to London Olympic to support our athlete who in London now

The events ends with a performance by blonco singapura. A drumming group!










The the end of another year of shine festival!! See you next year!!
