It all started one fine day on a sunny afternoon! Received a message from my girlfriend that her work colleague has a job opening for a scare talent!
It been one of dream to be one after going to few halloween event since 2007.
I jump on the opportunity to join! It was for Sentosa Spooktacular! Though it smaller then Universal Studio Halloween Horror still I want try join and feel how it is to scare people.
We need go through training! There 2 days of training on how to be a ghost. Yes being a ghost also need training! But guess what! Scaring people is not easy job!
During training, I make new friends. They too like me join to have fun scaring people.
We have fun during training. Never i know I have a hidden talent, been shy to act or go on stage I finally has the courage to do it!
After training and rehearsal. Finally the first day approach.
Every talent is excited to start! The moment the first guest enter it scare time. Though not all are scare still it fun knowing that you are scaring them.
Being a scare talent, you get to see people behave when they are scared. Some will run, jump, shout, scream even those who cry! Yes cry. If you think only girls cry, you are wrong! Guys do cry. Some guys jump , run even left their girlfriend behind.
Since I join I make news friends. Those like Hakim, Firdaus, Afiq and his girlfriend, even my bus buddy like Sabrina, KC, Ruben, Kelvin(a great guy to talk too), San sung(i not sure how his name spell) and also Amira who's laughter and that eyebrow I can't forget, the other Amira and the talents at area before living room it fun making animals sound, my partner Aisha at corridor you are scary when you not moving and almost forget Justin you funny fun to disturb you, Jasmine and Ryan great to talk too and it great knowing you during training and those I never mention cause I can't remember your name or we not that close but don't worry I treasure knowing you all. The 4 station manager at my area though the girl keep changing it still great having someone to talk too while waiting for guest. Even though there 2-3 who are annoying to me I will not hold grudges but I just hope you all realise that being annoying is not the way in life!
It wasn't easy for me to write the 2nd part of this post as it sad to me it ended. Yes it sad that I will miss the time we spend doing makeup(yes the awesome that I regularly see like the twins, you both are awesome), rushing to finish up and go up to trail. Walking up the zigzag bridge which so long until you become tired. I will miss going through route. The music play is so old. It was mine time! Though the movie is for 2013.
I learn that to apply the makeup wasn't easy though it look simple. After few times I learn how to do it and began to do it on my own. It not difficult after few try as it seem that doing the make up need creativity and one's imagination to do it.
Though it look fun but lots of hardworking and effort needed to be a successful scare actor!
Those ask if I wish to join again. I say yes I will but then I wanted a bigger experience next year!
So before I end this post here me in costume. Though it look simple, it not easy to scare.
