I don't think most of you heard this brand Melissa. For me the first time I heard the name I thought "huh got such brand!"

Review - The Swimmers

This review is kinda late as the movie was out in cinema 5 months ago. But the Dvd just been release.

It a thai horror movie about 3 high school students who in the swim team. Perth and Tan are best friend who in the same swim team. They always train together. Ice who is Tan girlfriend will always there to support them. Perth in secret is in love with Ice. Ice who can't swim ask Perth to teach her to swim since he always training at the pool. They fall in love and Ice decide to break off with Perth. Perth wasn't happy and a argument occur which cause Ice to commit sucide but then there more then meet the eye. Watch it to know what happen.

The story actually more of back and forth type of movie. Telling how the whole event took place. 

There few scene which is kinda scary. Making you think twice of doing things that are not suppose too.

The ending is tragic but it doesn't have a closure you wish it does. Like the part where Tan knew something but yet he still not sure if he should do it.

The tittle "the swimmers" is actually not the swimming team but it actually mean as the sperm which swim and pregnant a egg. It also teachers us wear protection to be safe.

The movie has english sub so easy to understand. Do watch it soon before it taken down again. 

Overall I like the movie. This my 2nd time watching it. After working at Spooktacular which has a hunted trail based on the movie. I want to rewatch and see which part of the trail are based on the movie scene. 

To me there some are based and some are just plain clueless on why is it there. 

Anyway go watch the movie even if you never go to Spooktacular. A good movie to watch even though not a great one.

School reopens

Today is the beginning of a brand new school year. Seeing the children going to school remind me of my time in school.

It was 23 years ago since I was in primary 1. Going to school back then was something we all look forward too. It was fun going to primary 1. Though frightening it was a time we get to learn new things.

It all changes as we enter primary 3, there was the time we need to make sure  we study hard so we can go further.

I always don't like to go school after I enter secondary school. Drag myself everyday just to go to school. I always the slowest in class. I not that clever. Those who know me will say you in top class. Yes but I the slowest among the top. I stuck in between the clever and the slow learners. I never say they are stupid but they learn at different pace then us. T

I always got look down as no one will help me. The teachers always goes to the clever or those need help.

I was left all alone by myself to learn. I nearly give up studying until I meet this teacher. Ms Lee was a good teacher.  I can't forget how she help me to get through my o level. I go through so many things in life that I just have no more hope in life.

Everyday whenever I have time I will chat to her. She help me a lot. If not her I can't get through pass o levels . 

Teachers don't just teach. They are a mentor, a counselor and even a friend. They help us to learn and much more.

I use to it think teachers only teach but after entering secondary school it open up my eyes. 

Whenever I passby a school I will look at the school and reminder those years in school. Having fun learning, those fighting , those naughty time and the success and failure in exam or test.

I really miss school. School was time in your life that a chance you get to enjoy. Once work life starts little time left to enjoy. 

That why I always say let the children learn don't keep enforce them be no 1. Enjoy study don't be like me. End up doing a job just to get by. Not something I love to do.

Review - Demi Adriana - Telemovie

It very rare that a local malay novel been turn into a movie. This time mediacorp suria decide to make a telemovie out of a novel by Hafeez Glamour.

Hafeez Glamour is a radio DJ at Ria 89.7fm. This is his first time writing a novel.

To tell the truth I have not read the book. I just read the synopsis of the book only. It look interesting enough to get the book and read it.

Back to the telemovie, it uses local actors  as the main stars. To me they make a mistake casting the lead actor and actress. The lead actor is play by Singapore first idol winner Taufik Batisah. He seem needed help in the acting department. His expression kinda doesn't portray well on TV. For the lead actress I have no words! Seriously what were they thinking of casting her. 

The supporting cast is not bad but the guy who play the lead actor love rival don't have that charisma that require him to be the one who gonna steal the girl heart.

It a 1.5 hrs telemovie plus commercial . So it kinda too short to get into the main story. They straight go to the main story the moment it start. So there lots of missing parts in the story. The build up is not there and end up no one really know why he and her break off. It just too fast that end up the whole story is just missing the feel.

Big box at Jurong East

A brand new mall has open in Jurong West. It called Big Box. The concept is different from normal mall. It has everything you need under one roof. Means all item is sell in the same area though it made up of different brands and company.

The mall  is join with the other two mall by bridges call jwalk. It connect easily to all 3 malls in Jurong east central.

This the jwalk entrance bridge. It connected to Jem mall. It located near H&M.

The item sold at the mall are discounted and cheaper then at other suburban mall.

Shopping time 

Goodbye 2014

I kinda reluctant to write this blog post. There 1001 reason why I reluctant to write.

But if I didn't write it I feel I never let it out of me.

Here goes!

2014 has been a up and down for me. Experience tragedy, things around me not going to plan. My resolution gone into pieces.

First of all I really wanted to study for another diploma but in the end it didn't happen as I didn't get the course I wanted. I really want to broaden my qualification but it didn't happen.

Then my handphone decide to die on me  twice! Yes twice! Once the whole phone breakdown! The second time was after 2 days of buying it. I drop it and it crack and end up didn't work at all. I end up borrowing a spare phone. 

Then money I save up to go holiday or just a stay cation was gone to pay debt not cause by me. A asshole cheat my family end up I have to pay the debt.

I apply for a few new jobs. None but 1 reply and they give me store men job! I have a education yet I received this kind of offers. I don't look down on store men but it not a job I do good at it. I want get a job I love doing and it will last long time.

Then I get few comments that not necessary. I know I don't have a great sense of english but don't go around commenting I wasted my education. Some blog post was written in a hurry or in a way easy to understand but yet I was scolded. I guest some people just like to bring people down. Lucky for me I choose to ignore. I even modified back my blog post. Guess even I wrote in perfect english still those not happy! Can't please everyone I guess!

Though there bad things happening, there few good things worth mentioning. As you all know I join spooktacular asa scare talent. It was fun. Thanks to this guy who introduced me to Cassandra who is the incharge. Was a nice lady. She take care her talent very well. From what I hear she has a hard time working with Sentosa. You know internship you can't choose and can't quit. So it never easy! I go through it and I regreted choosing the course. It like a torture to go through it every day. You try imagine seeing your enemy and has to work with him everyday. That how it feel!

I manage to save up to get things I wanted for some time. Though not a phone . I feel please I get to buy it. Even though what I wanted is sold out but still i get a different one.

For now I looking forward to 2015.

Brand new year. Brand new things to look forward too. 

2014 was full of tragedy too. 3 plane crash, a big flood, shooting which innocent died. So much bad things happens.

Though it a tragedy which we can't predict or wish it didn't happen. We take it as a lesson. Enjoy life. Don't be sad, be positive!
