SAF suspend training due to death of a trainee

Wah another death!
Happen at Ama Keng camp

So today all training has been stop
All relax in camp! So enjoyable!!
But sad he died serving the country!

His mum trust them to take care and he died!

Wonder how they gonna answer for it
I will see mindef panicing on what to be done!

The officer incharge in big trouble!!!

Anyway today they got extra day off then!!

"THE Singapore Armed Forces el(SAF) has suspended outfield training in all army units and training schools, after a full- time national serviceman who collapsed halfway through training, died on Aug 2.

The Straits Times understands that outfield training exercises have been halted for Aug 3 in the army's operational units, as well as training institutes such as officer cadet school, specialist cadet school and basic military training centre.

There may be plans to extend the time-out.

Specialist cadet (SCT) Ee Chun Sheng, 21, was pronounced dead on Aug 2, after he was found unconscious earlier in the day while on a navigation exercise in the Ama Keng training area in Lim Chu Kang.

The last time the SAF halted physical fitness training was in 2008 when two servicemen died halfway through training.

On July 31, a full-time National Serviceman suffered shrapnel injuries after the propellant of the grenande round exploded prematurely in grenade launcher that he was firing."
